Skull very high in appearance from corner of lower jaw to apex of skull, broad and square – most desired feature in the Bulldog. Jaws broad and square. Correct rose ear, perfect setting. Neck well-arched. Chest wide with very broad shoulders with slight fall to back. Hocks slightly bent, well let down, legs long and muscular from loin to hock. Beautiful roach back.

Jaws broad and square with beautiful layback. Elbows low, well away from ribs. Pasterns straight and strong. Chest prominent and deep. Back short. and strong.

Face short, broad muzzle. Short body, well-knit, limbs stout. Hind quarters high and strong. Foreparts heavier in comparison. Courageous and fierce in appearance.

Mervander does very little showing lately because of other commitments – we attended very few shows in Natal and none in Bloemfontein or the Cape. We will be competing in full force in 2009.
